Poplarville, MS 15th Circuit Court District Attorney Hal Kittrell announces that this week the Mississippi Court of Appeals affirmed the Pearl River County convictions of Donald Allen Caves of Carriere, Mississippi, and Donald Williams of Picayune, Mississippi. These two cases were tried separately by the District Attorney’s Office in 2013. Each Defendant was charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The District Attorney’s Office prosecuted each of them as a Habitual Offender, which carries a mandatory sentence of life without the possibility of parole.
Kittrell says, “We trust the public can see from these two trials and convictions that we are committed to removing from our communities sex offenders who violate the law. These two sex offenders will spend the rest of their lives in prison.”
