Crawford was sentenced to 40 years with 25 years to serve by Circuit Court Judge Anthony Mozingo. On August 15, 2018, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 118 Robert Road, Picayune, MS for a welfare check on Sharon Lee Crawford. Columbia, Mississippi – Fifteenth Circuit Court District Attorney Hal Kittrell announces that Terry Dustin Baughman of Foxworth, Mississippi, was convicted at trial on the charges of Felony Driving Under the Influence Fourth or Subsequent Offense and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Oxycodone on February 20, 2019, and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Anthony Mozingo on February 22, 2019, as a Habitual Offender to the maximum penalty provided for each charge. Poplarville, Mississippi – 15th Circuit Court District Attorney Hal Kittrell announces that on September 18th, Gustavo Adolfo Lopez, 48, of Guatemala City, Guatemala, pled guilty to trafficking more than 3 pounds of heroin. Lopez was sentenced to 30 years in prison by Circuit Court Judge Hon. Claiborne McDonald, IV. This case stems from a traffic stop of Lopez on Interstate 59 in Pearl River County by Pearl River County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Quave. Deputy Quave located the 3 pounds of heroin inside a vehicle driven by Lopez. Lopez subsequently confessed that he was paid $5000.00 to pick up the heroin

Purvis, MS – 15th Circuit Court District Attorney Hal Kittrell announces that Joshua Miller was re-sentenced to Life without the possibility for parole for the murder of Kristin Aultman. This murder occurred on August 18, 1996. Miller was found guilty at trial in 1997 and sentenced to Life without the possibility of parole. A 2012 U.S. Supreme Court case, Miller v. Alabama, required the trial court to conduct a re-sentencing hearing to determine whether Miller should be sentenced to Life with the possibility of parole due to the fact that Miller was a minor at the time of the murder.

Purvis, Mississippi – Fifteenth Circuit Court District Attorney Hal Kittrell announces that Jerry Wayne Nobles, 56, of Hattiesburg, MS, was sentenced to serve ten (10) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections after being found guilty of voyeurism by a Lamar County Jury. During the two-day trial, Assistant District Attorneys Laurel Brinkley and Lauren Barnes Harless presented evidence to the jury showing that Nobles committed the crime in the restroom of a local retail establishment when Nobles exposed himself under the restroom stall then spied with lewd and licentious purpose into the stall at the 11-year-old victim.
